Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

In the sequel to the acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales is once again thrust into the Spider-Verse when he encounters a new team of Spider-People from different dimensions. Together, they must fight against the Spot, a powerful foe who can create portals between dimensions.

After the events of the first movie, Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Peter B. Parker remain on guard against fresh and familiar dangers for the city of New York. A mysterious villain emerges to destroy the entire multiverse, and Miles teams up together with other Spider-People from all over the multiverse to defeat their common enemy.

 

However, the movie starts when Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy rejoin in Broolyn. Currently, Miles has made his mark as Spider-Man whereas Gwen is still trying to figure out her pathway in life. An older and wise spiderman known as Peter B. Parker eventually joins the two friends.

 

Together, the three Spider-People must face a new threat: The Spot, an anonymous villain. It is possible for the Spot to make holes into the multiverse making it available for the travel to the various worlds. She intends on destroying the multiverse, which is the goal of her place called The Spot.

 

The Spot has to be stopped by Miles, Gwen, and Peter, who in turn, must travel through multiple universes. On their trail are different Spider-people for instance, Spider-woman, Spider-man 2099m and Spider-man Noir. It will require that the Spider-People work hand in hand to vanquish The Spot to save the universe.

  • Its initial release date had been set for April 2022; however, it was postponed because of the Covid-19 emergency circumstances.
  • As with the previous film, this one was also animated by means of innovative “computer-generated rotoscoping” animation technique.
  • It has different Spider-People from various multiverses such as Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Woman.
  • The score of the film was done by Daniel Pemberton who did it for the first film as well.
  • This film earned more than $400 million across globe on box office sales and received good reviews too.
