The Shawshank Redemption
The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American drama film written and directed by Frank Darabont, based on the 1982 Stephen King novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. The film stars Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne, a banker who is unjustly convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary. Morgan Freeman co-stars as Ellis “Red” Redding, a fellow prisoner who becomes Andy’s friend.
Short Synopsis
